So here is the bike almost complete. I still have to tear it all apart this winter and paint to frame to match the tank and fender and I also need to put on the mini speedodometer. I'll have the speedo in a few days, pictures to come. I haven't touched the engine in the bike. I don't know anything about them and this one operates just fine so I'm not going to mess with it. Just cosmetic stuff has been done really. New rear fender, forward controls, side mounted license plate and tail light, hardtail, fresh paint and pinstrip, turn signals, headlight, and horn. I'm finally riding my bobber.

Here you can see that I've replaced the rear shocks with 3/4" steel pipe to make the bike a hardtail. I had to shape the pipe a bit in order to make it work. I've welded it on where the shocks mounted to the frame at the top and drilled holes in them to accept the bolts on the bottom where the shocks mounted. This way if I ever need to lower the swing arm to get in there and do repairs I can. Also in making it a hardtail I've lowered the rear end of the bike about 4 inches.

This is it. My 1985 Honda Magna VF500C. I'm turning this bike into a Bobber. You'll have to bear with me, I've never customized a bike before and I know little about engines and mechanics. I actually started this project last winter and am finally making some head-way. There will be pictures of my progress soon.
