Newest update on the bike transforming SICKNESS!!!
(
Abear
)
It's been a while since I updated my page. Well since then I have installed some 99 softail forward controls and a Hot Match kickstand. Had my hand controls chromed and added all braided cables. I pulled off the BIG front fender and ordered a longboy chopper fender. It is getting painted now. I also bought a weld-on stretch tank kit and a Hot Match flush mount gas cap. I welded up the hole where the gas gauge was. Just finished welding the tank extensions & gas cap (G-job on the night shift) and brought it to the local seat builder to cover the modified pan with ostrich. I'm getting the whole bike painted solid black and will have some finished pics soon. P.S. I just built a new sissybar out of 5/8" hex bar. It's kinda old school cool. I welded it to my detatchable brackets and sent it to the chrome shop.

Polishing the Aluminum and Chrome Parts
(
Justin
)
This sportster has a lot of aluminum and it all needs polishing. In particular, the cam, primary, and transmission covers, the fork sliders, brake calipers, master cylinder, and the rocker box covers. Many of the chrome parts are really beat to hell, especially the pipes.
Custom Wheels
(

)
Paint and white walls can accent colors of your bodywork.
We change our tires, balance, lace, true, and paint everything ourselves. Its great fun to pinch a finger.
Fender Alterations and Custom Chain Guard
(
HondaScoot
)
Sheet metal work is the fun part of our work.
Taking a fender and changing it to fit the flow of the bike is very rewarding.
We chop off the ends. Split them down the middle. Take sections out. Add more to the middle. Cut reliefs and reform the radius for various tire diameters.
The worst thing about it is, that when it's done properly, nobody can tell that you modified anything. It just looks right.
Custom Paint Designs

We paint items to keep the elements from deteriating our work. Oh-Yeah, some of us have egos.
ATL Brass
(

)
ATL Brass was completed for Kirk Williams from Atlanta GA. Jet black with highlited cherry candy flamesthe whole design was based around the hand fabbed Brass accents.
Repairing the gas tank seam
(
Justin
)
I got a little too ambitious with the angle grinder trying to clean up the line along its weld seam, and ground all the way through it. After hours of welding, brazing, and grinding the small pinholes would not go away so I decided to fill them with bondo on the outside and use a POR-15 motorcycle tank sealer kit on both tanks, which will also remove and prevent rust. The kit is around $33 on por15.com.
Sweetpickles
(
Pennington
)
One of my early projects. We toured in her for 4 years. I found the front end of a 48 international in a junk yard. It fit perfectly, as though it was ment to be on sweetpickles.
"Ice Cold Blue"
(
LandTCustoms
)
Ice Cold Blue was built for Dempsey Dixon from St. Albans, WV. All sheet metal,body molding and paint was done in house. This is one of the true signature builds of LT Customs that shows fabrication and art combined skills by our team.
Shooting the Primer
(
Justin
)
I'm using a black, 2-part high fill polyester primer. At first I was shooting with an older DeVilbiss JGA-502 siphon fed sprayer, but then I switched to a new inexpensive HVLP gun from harbor freight. The paint I'll be using is a gloss black basecoat/clearcoat combination consisting of Sherwin Automotive Ultra 7000 and Western brand clearcoat.
Black Diamond/ R1
(
